Steve Caddick and Avalon play music from the golden age of music, from the 1890's to the 1960's, the era of "Tin Pan Alley". They use vintage stringed instruments to recreate this music in a new exciting and fun way. Steve plays banjo, guitar and mandola to bring color to the songs. Rene Marion plays guitar and banjo. They both sing and engage their audience in a manner that everyone will have a great time while they are performing! Some have said they have humor like the "Smothers Brothers"
Our repertoire allows us to play for just about any occasion! Private groups, Parties, Corporate Functions, Libraries, Christmas Parties, Birthday Parties, Retirement Parties, Nursing and Convalescent Homes, Retirement Homes, State and Town Celebrations, Fairs & Family Functions just to name a few.
I first met Rene when he called me looking to take tenor banjo lessons. Rene was very serious about learning how to improve his abilities and we became fast friends. We both have similar goals musically and decided to form Avalon to pursue those goals.
